Andy’s Angling Adventures
Andy is a 4th generation fisherman from the Cowlitz Valley and grew up on the banks of the Cowlitz River. His family homesteaded in the valley over 125 years ago so his roots run deep. He spent his whole life living outdoors, hunting and fishing; he just never seemed to be able to get enough of it. He harvested his first buck at the age of 11 and caught his first steelhead when he was 12. When Andy was in high school, he knew he wanted to take fishing to another level and decided to pursue guiding as a professional career. He was a deckhand for notable guides in the industry while learning the craft of fishing and caring for customers. At 21, he jumped in with both feet, had a custom-built jet sled, and started growing his business and reputation as a premier guide. At that moment he knew he had found his true passion in life.
Fast forward 30 years, he still shares his passion for fishing with his clients. You can find him and his wife, Amanda, when he’s not fishing, chasing their two sons around a ball field or sports court. Andy spends time pursuing big game in several western states each fall between fishing seasons. They try to incorporate their kids with hunting and fishing as a lifestyle so they grow up to follow in their footsteps and enjoy the outdoors as much as they do!
