About Andy

Andy has lived along the banks of the Cowlitz River his entire life. As a young boy, he grew up fishing the local lakes and streams for bass and trout.  He has spent coutless hours just enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends.  When he was old enough to start tagging along with his dad and grandfather salmon and steelhead fishing, he was hooked.  Every spare moment he had was spent fishing the Cowlitz and other local rivers. While in high school, Andy had the opportunity to work for the Cowlitz River salmon hatchery and deckhand for some of the best locally known fishing guides.  During that time, his knowledge of fish and their behavior grew.  The hours spent on the river during this time sharpened his techniques and strategies that have proven to catch fish! At that point, the decision was made that this was the career that Andy wanted to pursue.

Andy has owned and operated his business since 2002.  He and his business are fully licensed & insured in Washington State including a 100 Ton Inland Masters License. He is also CPR & First Aid certified.  While most of his time is spent on the Cowlitz, he also guides on the Columbia, Lewis, Wynoochee, and Chehalis Rivers.  When it comes to the quality and quantity of fish produced, it's hard to beat the Cowlitz, though.

When Andy is not guiding, his time is spent hunting what the West has to offer.  Whether it's chasing elk with a bow or hunting deer with a rifle, the outdoors are in his blood.  No matter what he does, he gives 110% and this is what makes him a true professional.
